I plan on going with Nitto TG's 295/65/20's when the 60's I have now wear out.
thanks express25c, so even with a 9'' rim on a sport and a AT tire almost 1/2'' smaller than MT tire should fit...? you figure?

He didn't have the 20x9 sport wheels. I believe his we're 20x8 or 8.5

I will be getting 295/65r20 open country at2 xtremes mounted next week. I have a 2 inch level and painted 20's. This should answer at least one question in here when they are on.

Hey Guys,

I have been following this thread b/c i'm in the same situation. I have a '13 Big Horn with 20x8 chrome clads. I installed a 2.5" HBS level on the front and ordered 295/60r20 Trail Grapplers. I just got a call from the shop that is putting them on today and they told me that the tires fit but it is rubbing at full lock on the sway bar. They said it will be fine b/c it is only at full lock. I will probably buy some new wheels next year but honestly i think i can live with this. Just wanted to comment on the fitting in my experience. Hope this helps. Will post a thread with pics tonight. I'm pretty pumped about seeing my truck.

I'm not 100% sure but I'm betting the factory 20x9s are going to have a hard time fitting these tires. That is another full inch with the same offset.

I've got the chrome clad 20"s, running the BFG 285/65r20 with an HBS 2" level, with a 1" rear block and my tires clear front/rear. I dont have to run a spacer or anything. It is close at the upper a-arm, but i can barely get my finger between the a-arm and the tire. But I like it

Im running the 295/65s on stock rims. With a 2.5" level it slightly rubbed at full lock but i added 1/4" spacers no more rubbing

I have somehow missed this thread over the last few days. Anyways, I am running this size in the nitto and I am using 1/4" spacers. I did not try to mount them without the spacers because I was already using them (previously ran 35x12.5). The spacers don't really make the tires stock out passed the fenders though, they're basically flush.

Even with the spacer and a 2.5" rough country level I still get a tiny bit of scrub on the drivers side at full lock.

I have the factory 20x9 chrome clads.

I ran 295/65/20 Nitto Trail Grapplers on stock wheels for almost 70K miles. I ran probably half that without 1/4" spacers. The only time I'd ever rub was when I had the steering wheel turned to the lock. Also my tire guys said the Nitto/Toyo are built bigger/heavier than many tires that share the same dimensions FWIW.

i have a 12 express with the 20x9 chrome clad sport wheel and bilstiens set at 2.8 so equivelant to a 2.5 level and rough country 1.25 bl .. i agree there is no yes or no on this i wanted 295/65/20 nitto trail grapplers because there the closest to 35 s but a little narrower. i think most people fitting these with no issues are the guys with 20x8 wheel which would make the tire narrower i have been experimenting and this is my findings.

1.tires width wise measure 12.20 wide mounted on wheel (9")
2. tires will fit on without spacers if you only drive straight and never turn
3. tires will fit with 1/4" spacers and turn but will rub on the upper control arm sides at full lock.
4. (in my opinion) tires look good height wise vertically -- horizontally i think they look stuffed a little when you turn they are close to front bumper valance. so with just a level i think it would look more stuffed
5. with out flares the tire sticks out 3/4" past fender oem flares may take care of your fender lip being sandblasted and pockets would make your tires look tucked to much

i sent the tire back and have come to to terms that i think the best fit without a suspension lift right offset wheel and flares is a 285/65/20 basically the measurments hieghtwise is pretty much the same as a 35 most 35s are between 34.6 and 35 with this size theres no rubbing issue a little wider than stock and you could put a spacer on to give it a little better stance with out going past your fender

again just my opinion unfortunatley i have not found a mt in 285/65/20 except goodyear mtr and i dont think there worth the money i have 275/65/20 duratracs now
does anyone no of a 285/65/20 mt
