I stopped by my dealer this past week to see where they stood on doing a 4.10 conversion and if recall would save any labor. The service manager said it was just a nut and adhesive on most of them, especially if you aren't experiencing any issues. Knock on wood but my truck has been 100% with the exception of a backup sensor which was good faithed.

Next week I take the truck into the offroad shop to get my lift and rims done. But the service manager seemed more excited to see the truck done up than I am so I'm not too worried.

KingofDomain will become famous soon enough

I called the dealer where I bought the truck from and the service advisor said my truck was not on the recall list. I thought this was unusual since my truck was built in between the recall dates. I guess I should get a second opinion.

well from what i know

1- you need to had receive a recall letter or inform your self if your part of it

2- they inspect you're truck rear end to see what of the 2 option they will apply
the 1st it's just the pionon nut plus the retainer or what ever they call that

the 2nd is a complet (or almost) rear end rebuilt

in my case my pinion seal was slow leaking and they said it was directly related to that problem and that i nedeed a complet rear end rebuilt

hope this helps
