I ordered the extender from glowshift but it was for the cummins trans they have1/8" test port. Any help would be great ive wanted to install this for along time but cant....

You don't want to install a temp sending unit in one of those test ports. Those ports are dead-headed, so they have no flow at all. They are for sensing pressure, not temperature.

For temperature, you should install your sending unit in a tee fitting in the cooler line. The upper line (at the trans) is the "to cooler" line, so that line will have the hottest fluid. You can tap into it wherever along its length is convenient.

If you use the test ports, you will NOT get an accurate temp reading.
