Scorpian, which is the same as Al's Liner (which is retail packaged Scorpian) is a low pressure polyurethane. It is very rubbery and a very weak product. I requested and received samples in the mail. You get what you pay for.

Better yet, the question I've always had is how bad does it hurt your mpg's? I can't imagine that texture is all that aerodynamic, plus the added weight....still would look awesome though!!

Went with Line-X because the local Rhino dealer had bad reviews. Paid $480 here in northern VA and I couldn't be any happier with my decision. Great stuff

it won't effect mpg. theoretically yes but not realistically.

Just Curious, has anyone tried the Duplicolor Spray in bed liner with Kevlar? Saw it on Power Block TV. They now have the spray gun you can use with your compressor. Looks like an undercoating spray gun, big nozzle.
Been thinking about trying it out, may save me a few bucks.

That depends on what you want. If you want to create a slip resistant surface, then Duplicolor is fine. If you want a thicker bedliner that will be slip resistant, provide some impact protection, and take a beating, then you're better off with a professional bedliner.

I agree with you that you get what you pay for but for the price you cant beat it... i dont know what you got but the samples i got in the mail were very tough, it is very rubbery but i could not tear it nor put a key through it. i coated my whole truck with it and im pleased with it. way better than the other diy liners that go on paper thin.

Line-x is a harder surface vs this is more of a rubbery finish which worked well for the outside of my truck.

Line-x may be a little better but for the price... dont believe its worth 7 times more expensive than the scorpion. so if you have the money to blow go with Line-x or if you are like me and like a good product for a reasonable price id suggest goin with scorpion. just my opinion and i do have both on my truck

I get your point, but I still would not use Scorpian/Al's, I would probably use Monsta or UPol as a DIY.

That being said, LINE-X blows both Scorpian/Al's and Monsta away and is worth a lot more than 7 times the cost of DIY stuff.

Here are the Scorpian/Al's samples I received.

ya its all up to how much you wanna spend... with me bein a college student i did not have the funds for line-x or i would have gone that path... but for 600 bucks i am happy with my choice plus it was nice to find a diy kit that came in other colors other than black. but to each his own

has anyone sprayed the Rambox lids or tailgate spoiler on the 4th gen trucks? I'm pretty unhappy with the quality of these plastics and want something tougher.
