Upon going back to pick the truck up they told me that they were able to do 2 of the 3 updates, the third update is a disc that they need to order from the factory(anyone her of this?) but they have no Ida when it will come in. So I leave and notice that I lost my FM presets(no big deal) but the AM/FM still sucks AND in spots where I never lost satellite I now lose it and get the message "acquiring signal". Also after reading all of these posts I decided to check to see what else did change and now I can change the icon on gps to a Ram(good so far) but then I can't seem to find the setting to turn the heat or a/c on with the auto start. Maybe I'm looking in the wrong spot but it seems to have disappeared. Not sure if this disc update will fix any of these issues. The last thing I had a question about was on the lower left half of the screen it says 11 items in settings, isn't it supposed to have 13?
This doesn't make sense. The update can be downloaded by the dealer if the server it sits on is up and running, or the dealer can request a hard copy (DVD or flash drive loaded with the update).
If you don't want to just do it yourself (you can get the flash update yourself, stick it on a thumb drive which you place into the truck's drive and the update will run for you), I would call Uconnect customer service and explain your issue and what the dealer told you. Or if it works, just dial them through your truck under the "assist" setting.
