and grub i went with S&B as well cant wait to see it on! first time puttin it on tho the supplied s-bolt would not thread into my TB to secure the air hat... so i called them and they sent me another hardware kit so hopefully it will work this time around... if it doesnt tho what are my options? lol im looking into just buyin the ported 52mm TB from ebay and it comes with the s-bolt with it so thats a plus i guess

I read on one of the threads that if you cut the divider out of the stock air box that it would work better that a CAI with a drop in K&N and to relocate AIT sensor to the air box near th TB... don't know but I have a CAI from Specter and haven't noticed any difference other than the throaty sound

I own a 99 Laramie with a 5.9 , i bought a spectre cai and it increased my mpg by about 4 or 5 mpg and increased the power very noticably it has more pep. As far as the hose goes for the filter you could use some kind of flexible stainless hose or pipe instead of doing the spacer on the tbi. Just another way to get it done and cheaper
