If you have a mustang already and just mainly want a truck for the winter.. But a well maintained beater 4x4... It's there in the warmer weather if you need it, and useful for the winter.. But you could spend part of that 10 grand on the truck and then keep on building it up to pay for school in the future and for any potential bad situations that develop in the future. I got my 08 Ram last year with 130,000 KM on it.. bone stock 4x4 quad cab for just under 10 grand. Knew the complete vehicles history too.. previous owner considered driving through a gravel lot extreme offroading .

At 16... With ten grand already and a stang... Put that money aside and save up so when you are done school and ready for life.. You will have a good amount there to put down on something you really want.

I'm gonna jump on the band wagon. I would say do NOT buy anything that you will need to finance. You're young, you're not guaranteed a job for the next few years and you've got some sort of post high school schooling ahead of you.

Add in the fact that the $10K is not cash in hand. I think that you're better off keeping what you got, and just enjoy driving the bobsled in the winter.

good luck

Exco
