Default Black goo on passenger floor?

Has anyone had black goo/sealant drip down on their passenger floor? There was also a small piece of carpet that came with it. It is right under the glove box/HVAC box.

Maybe a crack in your heater core housing behind the dash. Can you get up under there with a flashlight and inspect it?

These AC systems (2009) originally came with some insulation that was glued onto the housing on the passenger side. When it got hot (closed cab in the summer) the insulation would keep falling down and the glue drip so they just removed it

I think there was an RRT about this, the dealer was to take the insulation off and clean the glue off the housing. They did this to mine.

Thanks! I guess mine just came off on the floor instead.

Default Mine does that too

Mine keeps coming off. Wonder what I could use to clean the black stuff off of the housing. I love my truck but there have been some nagging issues with it including this one, the 3rd brake light leaking and the ambient temperature sensor having to be replaced and reprogrammed several times.
