Default HELP! Tranny not wanting to shift from 2-3 and 3-4

I need help here. My '98 2500 4wd had the tranny rebuilt at 74k and 94k and now has been holding 2nd at 3500 rpms unless I let off the accelerator then it will upshift then the same thing from 3-4.

I took it to AAMCO and they say no codes and the selenoids are telling the truck to shift but its not.

Another odd thing is this only occurs when the truck is warmed up...when cold - she's perfect!

I'm looking at $550 just to have the remove and inspect. Is there a good reliable tranny builder / recommended upgrades if I decide to get this done. I'm in the Phoenix area if any can refer me to one.

What transmission is in this anyway?

Thanks in advance!

Panhead - thanks for responding.

I checked the level and it was about 1 1/2 quarts low. I think we didn't top it out enough from the last flush. I put in some Lucas TransFix type stuff. It seems to have helped quite a bit. I'm going to drive it more today to see how she does.
