Default Bilsteins on the way!...question regarding them

So I decided to order a set of bilstein 5100 adjustables for the front and bilstein 5100s for the rear.

...simple question, I guess...what should I set the fronts at? From what I have gathered, I am thinking 2.1...my truck is a little over 2 inches shorter in the front than the rear, so would this be correct to set to 2.1?...or will it settle and sit lower, making setting at 2.8 a better idea...I do not have plans of lifting the rear yet, but might consider a tgc 1 inch coil spacer in the future. Thanks, guys! getting these installed next Wednesday and can't wait!

There may be a bit of settling. The difference on mine was 3 inches. I set mine at 2.8 and now I still have 1 inch of rake in the front. Go figure. Each individual truck will have variations. In your case it sounds like 2.1 is the ticket.

I would go with 2.1. I just installed mine last week at 2.1 and it looks perfect. I originally had a 2.5" difference from the front to back. The truck still has a verrrrry slight rake (maybe about .125) but I was told by other members that if you set them at 2.8 it will look like your front end is higher than the back (a negative rake). Also at 2.1 the ride is better.

I can't stress this enough...get an alignment after you install them. I originally didn't think I did because my truck was driving perfectly straight. But, I listened to others on the form and once I got an alignment I was amazed at how much smoother the truck drove.

Thanks guys. Yea, it seems that folks that set them at 2.1 report less vibration issues than the ones setting at 2.8...and I already have my alignment scheduled for the day after install! I'll have to double check the height difference, but last I did, it was just over 2 inches....if I remember right it was 37'' in the front and just over 39'' for the rear.
