Default Cummins engine issue

I am getting a distinct vibration whenever I approach 55-60 mph or going uphill. Let off on the accelerator and the vibration disappears. Checked U-joints and they feel tight. Any suggestions?

I would replace em anyway. Cheap insurance, get ones that have grease fittings. While you get it up in the air, check all 4 wheel bearings. 55-60 is a speed that an out of balance tire might start to shake/bounce, whatever. If you rotate em front to back then the vibration feels different, thats it.

If your truck has two driveshafts then check the hanger bearing. Hard to tell if the universal joints are bad by just trying to move them. Best way to check is unbolt them and pull the caps and have a look....
