As soon as you hit those lug nuts with a lug nut wrench, wont the plasti-dip come off?

Yes, they will. I did my wheels on the truck, but had the wheels off the ground with the lugs off. This way I keep my lugs chrome, but was able to turn the wheel to get full coverage.
