Default Broken Vacuum Line

Guys' I need your help, my 1998 ram 1500 has a broken vacuum line that controls the vent and floor heat direction. This is on the passenger side of the engine compartment and goes thru the firewall. Can someone please tell me where this vacuum line goes inside the cab and how easy it is to replace. Do I need to remove the dash to replace it? I joined the vacuum line together and put some shrink wrap over it. It worked for a while but the line is so brittle it's now breaking up in my hand. The part number I have is 55055705AB. This is for the check valve and vacuum line going into the cab. Any advice would be greatly appreciated.

its terrible I cant exactly remember because I just had my whole dash out. But from what I can tell in my pictures it runs over to the driver sides for the controls. And mine on my 2001 was taped to the back of the hvac box. That being said you may have to remove the dash, I would first try if I was you taking out the glove box and if you still cant see it maybe the air bag. Neither is as bad as the whole dash. Hopefully this helps you and you can maybe splice into it with out taking the whole dash out.

Yup, it goes out through the firewall with the evaporator core lines.
