Agree.

That pisses me off more than the seatbelt chime.....

I tried to do the seat belt chime disable today and I could not get it to work.

I follow the steps and I get the confirmation tone at the end when i turn the key to off. I then unbuckle the belt and turn the key back to on to see if it really did work and the chime is still there. Anybody else have this happen to them?

Cob- I posted this question (not the first, by far). Got the info, tried it, and it did not work the first time for me either. Thought I had something wrong, went back to the forum and confirmed that the info was right. Tried it again, and it worked. Maybe the computer thinks "No way this guy just did that, must be an accident. Lets see him do it again!" As I said in another post, I asked my dealer to do this before I picked up mine, and they said "we will "TRY" but it doesn't always work" Is it because they don't want to actually do it, or are they trying it once like we did and it did not work for them the first time either? HMMMMMMMMMMM>

Just followed the instructions ... worked flawlessly on the first attempt. No more ding when pulling into the neighborhood or driveway!

These steps seem to work for everyone but me. When I tried this sequence, I would hear the confirmation chime but the seat belt chime was still active.. grr. I tried a few times and gave up.

My dealer ended up deactivating the chime for me and it has been silent for months now. So just a friendly note to anyone else in my shoes who can't get it to work - your dealer should be able to do it for you.
