Default Need a longer shock for the front or?

I have an 04 1500 4x4 but I see bilstein 5100s aren't available for them... Anyone know if they'll fit? Or know of another 2" longer or extendable shock for this truck?

Or.. should I even look into shock extenders?

What exactly are you trying to do? Have you leveled your truck already and now you're looking for longer shocks to work with the level? Or are you attempting to level your truck and think you're going to do it with longer shocks?

Well I had leveled my truck with just cranking the torsion bars, but it's so stiff I'm not crazy about it, so I was gonna get the bilsteins and crank them up 2" and call it a day.

Okay. Well with your application the Bilsteins do nothing for height, they aren't height adjustable either. That's not how shocks work.... All you will need for your set up is Bilstein shocks that are meant for an 04 Ram with 0"-3" of lift. Doing a quick google search should bring up the part number for them. Otherwise send an email to the guys at Bully's Performance (sales@bullysperformance.com) letting them know what you want and they should be able to find it for you and give you a great price since you're a forum member.

So I've been looking into Rancho rs9000xls, and with 2.5" front level, would the 4" lift ranches be too long?

Yes I wouldn't run shocks that long with just a level. And I wouldn't run Rancho shocks either... lol.

I just did a quick google search and guys are saying that the shocks meant for a stock 2500 work well on a leveled 1500. Here's the Bilstein part number for them: Bilstien F4-BE5-C603-HO. If I were you I'd do a little more research on those and see what more guys are saying about that set up.
