For $400.00 most probably not as things currently stand with your truck, however, you have a tool there that will supplement possible future improvements very nicely; that you paid $400.00 for.

For Arth's $250.00 most probably not as things currently stand with your truck, however, you have a tool there that will supplement possible future improvements very nicely; that you paid almost half the price for.

Jump on Arth's. It's a steal.

^ Agreed.
Read the sticky at the top about ported throttle bodies. It has a lot of useful opinions from people with nothing to gain from selling them (vendor hype)

IMO it took polishing, knife-edging and port-matching the ported TB to my intake to make any noticeable difference over (already had an S&B CAI) stock.

Just did mine. Except the knife edge. And a "noticeable improvement" is a big stretch. Even with or without the knife edge.

I did the knife edge, polish and port matching all at once so I don't know which part contributed to what, but before that(with the PTB), there was NO noticeable gain to throttle sensitivity, acceleration or anything. After the 3 mods to the PTB I could JUST tell it was there at WOT. No night and day differences, that's for sure. But it took doing those 3 mods to the already modded(ported) TB to tell any difference from stock.

The only way you're gonna stuff more air through a certain sized venturi hole is remove the restrictions that cause turbulance, that means knife edgeing and smoothing the bore out till it shines.
You can taper the bore before the hole till the birds come home, but it'll still only flow as much as stock till things are smoothed out internally.

Boundary layer principles don't apply in a venturi,it's not a port or piece of pipe.

Knife edging your stock throttle body will give you more then a ported throttle body that uses the square edged throttle blade yet.
The blade bounces air and causes turbulance
