Thank you. And yes I consider myself very lucky but I feel I have earned what I have as I have worked since I was 16 and held on to one job (utility job) for 36 years, then retired and went to work in the oil field business as a sales rep. I enjoy what I do and have enough extra money to buy the things I like. I'm 67 now and may keep working for a while yet. After all what would I do for 5 months in Pennsylvania while winter was in progress. My advice to all the younger members is if you can get a decent job with decent pay and benefits then stick it out to retirement, put a little away each pay and when you get older you can have the things you have dreamed about all your life. I did.

My dad started his build when he was 70 and did almost everything single-handedly. I think the only time he called in reinforcements was for dropping the engine into the chassis and hanging the body. He did his own bodywork and paint. It's a driver: no chrome, no fancy go-fast parts, etc. and he drives it everywhere.

He was talking about selling it when I visited last summer but I hope he doesn't.

Tell your dad he did a great job on that car. What state does he live in?
I only get about 3 months to drive mine with the weather we get here in NW Pa.

He lives in western Massachusetts. I think his toys go into storage in November and come out in March or April. I'm SO glad I moved 500 miles south, New England winters are for the birds.

That's why the birds (snow) GO south in the winter!

Nice talking with you.
