Default What Tire Size with only a 2.1 Bilstein Front Level

What size tires are people running with just a front 2.1 Bilstein level. Even a 2.8. They don't seem to look all that different. Right now I'm debating between 33 12.5 20 or a 295 60 20. The price difference is crazy between these so I'm hoping that a 33 mt tire won't look too small because I know the stock ones look ridiculous right now. Thanks! Also pics are always appreciated.

First, what wheels do you plan on running these tires on?

Honestly, if you're going to spend the money on new tires I'm not sure why you'd even consider 33's.... Even though they are a mud tire they aren't going to look much bigger than the stock tires. In width obviously they will, but not height. The other thing is that I think a 33x12.5 mud tire looks a little off... they're too wide for how tall they are which looks funny on a truck.
I'd definitely recommend going with the 295/60/20's. IMO that is the best tire size to run on a leveled truck. It looks the most proportional with everything.

That was my original thought. I think they look the best. It's really too bad that the price of a tire seems to follow how popular the size is. A 295 60 20 is actually a lot more expensive than a 35 12.5 20 even though there is actually less material required to produce the tire. Anyone have pictures of a leveled truck running a 295 60 20. Preferably a mud tire but any type will do.

Where are you getting your tire pricing from? It doesn't make sense to me that a 295/60/20 would be more expensive than a 35x12.5r20.... Contact the guys at Bully's Performance and get a quote from them. They had the best pricing around when I ordered my tires about 7 months ago.

sales@bullysperformance.com

There's lots of pictures throughout the forum of guys running 295/60/20's on leveled trucks. Just check out some threads in the wheel/tire section of the forum, leveled section, or the lifted section. You'll find lots of pictures there, especially in the sticky'd threads.

Brandon is on the ball. I ordered my 35/12.50/17 with rims from Bullys.. great pricing and Andrew offered me great service. Go big or go home.

I just think the 35's look squashed in the wells with just a front level. I've just been doing general pricing around the web from different sites. Seems that for that tire size they are always more expensive just due to the size. I have gotten a quote for the setup I was looking for from bully's but haven't had them break down the prices for me yet. I am a couple months away from pulling the trigger on my setup so I didn't want to bother them too much. I will be running fuel nutz wheels with a zero offset. Unless something else changes my mind yet again. Took my long enough to settle on that wheel. I'm still bouncing back and forth on whether or not to run the toyo at's or toyo mt's. I don't put even 10,000 miles a year on my truck so I'm not really worried about the wear factor.

Sorry, I have 17" wheels on my truck so not an exact comparison but I am running Nitto Trails in 33" or 285/70/17's on the stock wheels. It actually looks proper this way I think. It also allows room for mud and rocks to sling out of the wheel wells.(2.1 level and air lift 1000)
I also notice a difference in mpg's over the Duratracs I took off. (worse)

hemi deep do you have pics of your setup. It's been really hard to find a truck with just a 2.1 level with either 33's or 35's. In hind sight I wish I would have went with 2.8 and a rear spacer. I could have gotten 35's that way. Too lazy to switch it now. haha. Aso for anyone else chiming in I think I switched to a -12 offset for a wheel. Rockstar II's are awesome!

Here's a picture of my current setup just to give you an idea - 2" front level and 285/75R17 Nitto Terra Grapplers. The tires measure 33.8" tall.
