Hitting a deer is covered under the comprehensive coverage of your insurance. I hit a deer last year....$5700 repair. No increase in my insurance rates. A few years ago I had three windshields replaced in a six month period. Again no increase in rates. Might want check this out with your insurance agent.

the insurance company will gladly cover the cost & then when it is time to renew the policy
you will notice a premium increase of something like $10 a month
10 X 12 months is $120 a year

best that you just pay for the damage yourself
the insurance company does not put a mark against your claims & you have a beautiful Ram

I have a 2009 Ram, $1,000,000 insurance coverage
i just paid my auto body shop $4200 in cash for body damage & a repaint
my insurance won't go up & my Ram looks like it just came off the dealerships sales lot

sometimes it is just better to bite the bullet
It's covered under comprehensive, no rate increases, thankfully.
