Here is my experience with it. I spent 238 for the parts and did the work myself. Foolishly I gave 100 bucks to the dealer to fhalsh and add the proper code but I hear a lot that they will do it for free if you schmooze them.

I love it. I hate my other truck's aftermarket controller it is in the way

Like JoelAdams said, I also purchased the unit and installed it myself. It is easy to install, a couple screws on the radio bezel and the vover plate under the steering wheel and they pop off. On 2013's the wiring harness is already there, need to mount the module under the dash (the location where this goes is a tight squeeze to put in a couple screws, but if you get two of the three you're good. Then plug in the two wires to the module. Then on the dash plate, remove a couple screws, pop out the plate, remove the filler pop in the switch and plug in the wire. Then reinstall all the panels and done the install.

Next you will need to go to the dealer and have them add this option to the VIN code and then have them flash the computer(cost me $100). Once this is done, it will be put of the options in the display(either in instr. panel or another place if you have model with upgraded radio(not sure), mine is on the display on the instr. panel). The setting can be adjusted via the switch and show on the display to what setting you are at. Incr/ decr. in .5 steps.

I like the factory look, I didn't want some aftermarket one hanging below the dash or sorts.

I have a 2010 1500 Big Horn edition and installed the factory integrated brake controller and havent had any issues. It works great. Also works well with the EVIC

It's incredibly simple. Check if you have the 2 plugs required (taped up under the dash by the key) if you have that it's straight forward to install.

You guys seem to be getting pretty steep prices at you dealers. I have done 6 and charged 0.5 for labour and $220 for the parts. Flash is only needed sometimes but I only charge 0.2 for a flash

Easy to install. I installed one on my '12 Express. Just make sure you have 2 plugs under the dash. I understand that if you don't you can still make it work with some extra wiring. I did not have the EVIC so no trip to the dealer was needed. I found a new factory unit with bezel for around $130 from a Mopar site. Can't remember where, but look around enough and you can probably find one just as cheap.

I had an aftermarket controller for an Avalanche that the dealer agreed to move over to my new ram for no cost as part of the purchase. After speaking to the service manager, the dealer felt better about using the mopar integrated controller instead. They were more confident with the way it would work with my 13 so they threw it in for free. They didnt want the trouble of playing with the aftermarket one....even though it was only 6 months old. I think the mopar integrated one is much better than the aftermarket one i had (cant remember the name). And the heads up display is great...much better than reaching down under the dash to make an adjustment.
