Default Gauge cluster replacement

Hey guys, I'm new to the forum and am hoping someone can help me out with a question. I'm looking to swap the gauge cluster on my 2013 express to the premium gauges. Is this as simple as plugging it the replacement in? Do I need to have reprogramming done by the dealership? Does the express steering wheel have the proper function buttons? Is this a possibility? Thank you guys

JHouse, would you be able to message NeverEnuff and ask him to contact me via pm or email at rjp5088@gmail.com? For some reason I am unable to message or reply to his post. Thanks for your help.

You will have to either go to the dealership or a speedometer shop to Certify any switch of the ODOMETER part of the cluster, IF you live in the USA, i don't know about Canada

The 13-15 are plug and play with two exceptions. Some of the early 13s have a different tpms system. When used in later 13s and 14s you will get the tpms light on all the time. (everything else works) The other exception are diesel clusters are different than the gas.
I have an extra one if anyone is interested. It is from a 13 with 4450 miles. I had it in my 2014 and I did not get a tpms light. The only thing with this cluster is the mechanical oil pressure gauge does not work. It bothered me so I replaced it. Everything else works on the cluster including the digital oil pressure read out. I can also refer you to someone who can change the miles if required. Since it has a bad oil gauge I will let it go for $110 shipped to USA.

Hey PJw67, could you forward me your contact regarding cluster modification. I have a 2012 with only 15k miles and I want to upgrade my cluster. The lowest I can find right now is 40k. I can't send PMs yet because I'm a new subscriber.

Thanks

From what I've read the 2012 and older models will not swap with the 13 and newer ones. I guess the 2012 have 2 plugs. The new generation only has one plug.
