Default broken wire ?

ok first off. 2006 dodge ram 1500 quad cab 4wd Laramie trim. has the hemi.

I was underneath the front of the truck checking things out and noticed a wire dangling on the driverside front wheel. 2 wires inside a jacket. my question is whats this wire for? I found the other end and it goes to some type of sensor behind the rotor. I thought abs but they not one on passenger side. I can splice these back together until I can order one just don't know what to order. thanks.

Think you could reconnect with a good heat shrink crimp connector. Might point it out to the dealer, next time you take her in. Could be part of stability control, abs or something important. If I have a question about my brakes, I drive on a dirt road and stomp on the brakes. Should be able to easily tell if abs is ok.

Yea when I get a chance to get it in dry. Going to fix with heat and splice. Just curious what it is. Its been like that for 6 or more months. I had axles replaced and think thats when they did it.

Did you get the wire spliced? Did it fix anything. Or have you figured out what the wire is for? I'm thinking maybe a speed sensor or something for the ABS. Were you able to test the ABS out?

its most likely a wheel speed sensor for traction control.
