Default Reservoir shocks

Anybody here running external reservoir shocks? Piggybacks, anything?

I've got Rancho 9000XLs with the 9-way adjustability, but without the external reservoir. As nice as they are, they're still too stiff even on the lowest setting.

My trucks primarily a DD. I wheel a little bit, but mostly I take "roads" that lead to nowhere whenever I get a chance. These roads are usually full of rocks and wash boards, so these Ranchos just aren't cutting it.

From what I've heard and read, external reservoirs seemingly can't be beat. The only shocks I've heard of being a good substitute are Bilsteins and Fox. As for the Bilsteins, I can afford their internal and external reservoir shocks. Fox, I can only afford the internal haha. If I had $1000k to spend on shocks, well, I'd spend it on something more important haha.

Anyways, are there any suggestions? Suggestions in the back?
