So I finally got my cargo system figured out... Consists of 4 file folder crates from Staples, two cargo straps and a bungie cord (bungie is in back of the crates.)

And here is a pic of my ghetto tonneau LED lighting solution that cost me $3 instead of $50 or more. Runs on 3AAs. Going to re-wire tie them with smaller black ties so they're less noticeable. Works for me and it's not noticeable to anyone but me.

My future plans are:

AND

(Mine will be full black and will have seat heaters installed as well.)

And what DIDN'T I do to my truck today? Wash it... Though I really really wanted to - we're in a deep freeze right now (-15c as I write this) and a major snow storm is coming tomorrow. I H8 SALT!

Shovelled about 6" of snow off of it! LOL.....

But the BEST PART.......

My wife bought me the GPS upgrade for my truck and had it installed for my birthday today!

How sweet is that!!!

The pros and cons of birthdays......

Pro.......you get gifts (and who doesn't like those??)

Con.....having to call the fire brigade due to all the candles on your cake setting of the smoke detectors!

Pro.......said candles cuts down on heating bills.....

Con.....having to buy so many candles!

Anyway.........GPS looks to be pretty good, but will put it to the test tomorrow when out driving.

Sad news is that with the fill-up, I could calculate my mileage. 11.8 mpg Yikes! I hope this was just because of alot of idling in the driveway while sorting other things out. And the fact that the old plugs were worn to .065! Wires and dizzy parts are next.
isnt that above average for our 5.9L engines? i see most people getting 8-11. i can get 11 if i take it easy on her on the highway lol

but as for today.. took some pics while she was warming up before i headed to work tonight:

lights are so much brighter then with the stock headlight housing! best $150 ive spent haha still need to look into upgrading them to h.i.d tho!

HI All kinda sorta a newbi..... Busy at work and holidays stuff havent been able to come online. What I did to my truck today???? well, I got a $117.00 citation for my headlight covers from GA. state Trooper. Funny thing is they been on my 98 sport since 1998, go figure..... Soooooo I ordered new Projector head light set with LED halo rims around both the high and low beam lights ,plus 3 LED accent lights and an LED lighted strip across the top of the headlights from LMC Truck #56-6937 they going to look bad ass and I hope I run into that tropper again .LOL (not really) So lesson learned today check out local laws before you decide to put any smoke light covers on any of your lights on your trucks.....

Just had the truck picked up to go in for the Line-X bed liner.

Ordered some Hercules Terra Trac A/T's for the Sport wheels to get me through the winter, come spring she'll be leveled with some 35's

Really wanted to get the Cooper Discoverer A/T3's but apparently the stock levels up here in Canada are Zero with everyone's supplier, then tried for the Toyo Open Country A/T's and same thing, couldn't get a pair of hands on them! Booooo

Warranty work done: Replaced defective seatbelt receiver on rear-passanger-side. My 6' / 200# 13y/o son tends to be a bit rough on things. :P Was it him? I don't know. Probably not...

Swapped the factory T-Stat to a 180* in preparation to installing a Hemi-fever tune.

Good day! Been looking forever to find a Burled Wood dash bezel for my 2G. PO obviously had anger issues. I can only find the black ones. While on the way home today, I noticed a new shop opened up. They do aqua-transfer printing. You know, the stuff they do to put the Real-Tree on shotguns. Well, I got an idea to make a black one work. My truck had the tan leather interior, with light tan carpet, and gray headliner. I have replaced the carpet and headliner with dark brown. Great contrast. I'll be having the bezel dipped in a fall Real-Tree style pattern. Lots of tans and and browns to pull the whole interior together. I'll post pics when its done.
