Default looking at lift options

Alright fellas, i'm looking into doing a small lift and keeping the stock size tires but swapping the wheels out for some black and machined 17" wheels. I've already got my t-bars cranked but I've heard that the aftermarket torsion keys preload the suspension more than the stock ones allowing for more lift, correct?
