Default Park-To-Reverse Defect

I ran across this information while surfing the web and was wondering if everyone that's been around Dodge RAM's for a while has heard of the park-to-reverse defect? I sure hope they've got this issue resolved if it ever really existed.

Wow! Ancient history. You had to look long and hard to find this one.

Around the year 1999 Chrysler had a problem and a recall for transmissions that would jump into reverse from neutral I believe, not sure if they were standard or automatics. Ford also had an issue and was listed in a class action lawsuit at that time also. Same lawyer.

Never heard of it. Why would you start your truck while its in your garage and then go about doing other things in the garage anyway?

Default Park-To-Reverse Defect

i have actually seen this happen, my mom used to have a home daycare and the drive way was uphill. One of the parents had a jeep grand cherokee and while they were outside talking all of a sudden the jeep starts rollin down the driveway, my mom takes off running, jumps in and saves the day. could have been prwtty baf since theres a house directly across from her driveway. so yes, it has happened. lol

I didn't have to look very hard. This article was posted on the internet on 12/23/2013.
