Default Headlights Dimming intermitten??

Just bought a 2008 Ram 1500 4x4 Big Horn addition. The other night while on the hwy my wife noticed my headlights would dim just slightly every now and then.. I never noticed it until driving home tonight. It is doing it quite frequently. New battery and all connections are clean and tight. The do not dim with applying brakes or turning on A/C... (trying to see if it was load issue). RMP's also will not affect them dimming or not. Very random. Any help would be great. Thanks

I have the same truck (08 Big Horn), and have noticed the same thing, but never really thought too much of it, since the lights don't go totally out. I've never really seen any "fixes" for this anywhere, but maybe somebody on here will have some more insight?

check for corrosion on the head light relay and the connections on the back of the headlights. Make sure all your chassis grounds are clean and tight under the hood, not just the battery. Any small amount of corrosion can affect the lights

Thanks for the reply!! Long story short...was driving through a parking lot and toward some windows and noticed that my right headlight was dimming and shutting off.. got home tonight and found that the previous owner knew he had a problem and instead of replacing the socket he rigged it up with zip ties . The socket is a mess and the bulb base was in half. I ordered a new socket, and picked up some new bulbs. For now I was able to manipulate the half of bulb and rotted connector together to make it work...right now, no more dimming and working properly.....just needs to hold up till Tuesday morning when the new parts come in.
