my MDS light comes on all the time in the city or cruising speed on the highway. are you sure your truck is MDS equipped, is it an option or a regular install? I also have 3.92 gears I will go for a run tomorrow at 70mph and check the MPG and RPMs.

^^^ The MDS has been standard in the HEMI engines since 06 and they just started to put the lights in vehicles in late 09.

But i have seen my mileage drop since i put the drop-in K&N filter in back in the summer.

I have the '09 Ram SLT quad cab 5.7 & 3.55 axle ratio & a tonneau cover, the best mileage that i have seen is 18.7 with cruise control set at 70 & going down a long grade in august, i bought the truck back in late february.this is the truck before any mods
(sometimes it makes me wonder why the sales lot had the truck parked way out in the back corner where no one could easily see it)

My 2009 Hemi with 3.92 gears sits at about 2000 rpm.
