Default Front end alignment

Is it normal for the suspension to make a popping noise right after an alignment? It only did it four times and only while making left turns, but it was quite loud. I had just left the dealer from having it aligned when it made this noise and I immediately went back. By the time I got there it wouldn't do it anymore. Go figure. They couldn't replicate the noise. Anyway, the service guy said they put it back on the lift and checked everything over and found nothing wrong. He said sometimes the suspension settles after an alignment and to just keep an eye on it. What do you guys think?

The only time I've had significant noise after an alignment, they didn't fully tighten a camber adjuster. Made a significant knocking noise. It was not on my RAM.

If it doesn't persist, it's likely OK. Let us know what happens.

I agree with huntergreen, it's not normal. I had my 1500 aligned twice and didn't have any sounds afterwards. Maybe bring it somewhere else for a second opinion.

I have a feeling I should have just left it alone. I've got a little over 17k miles on the original tires and started to notice slightly uneven wear on the drivers side. The passenger side was perfect. Do you guys normally get a print out of all the specs on each wheel after you get it aligned? They showed me the before, but nothing afterwards. I probably should have asked, but I just wanted to get outta there.

I go to a place that gives me the results and even has a screen in the waiting room showing the progress.

It does not sound normal to me as well. See post # 17 in this thread http://www.ramforumz.com/showthread.php?t=143779, you will see my before and after alignment numbers following installation of my bilstien levelling struts.

I've been driving it every day since. Put about 40 miles a day on it with no obvious issues so far. We'll see what happens. I'll post when I rotate the tires next time and see if there is any noticeable wear.
