Is there somewhere I can buy the stock Sport painted mirror covers? I'm thinking they would look really good and be a lot easier than having my black ones painted.

What's the texture like on your mirrors? Are they as smooth as the rest of the truck? I don't want that "paint-matched spray-on bedliner look," if you know what I mean...

I still have some texture on them. I have 1 mirror thats been painted once more than the other and its pretty smooth. I think if you do multiple coats of sealer primer and paint they would be smooth

I keep thinking if debadging my truck. Mainly the Ram 1500 on the side. It gets in the way and is hard to clean around. Yours does look really good and is the same color.

As for the chrome mirrors, the should be easier to paint as there is no texture. They should be chrome plastic. Use a rough sandpaper to get the chrome off (800 to 900 grit) and then work up to a 2800 to 3000 grit. That will make sure they are smooth. I would use an etching primer on them and then paint. Wet sand with the super fine sandpaper and maybe hot with another base coat. Sand again and then hit with one or two coats of clear singing in between. After sanding the last coat hit them with a compound designed to clean up after super fine sanding. Wax and then enjoy.
