I think straight pipe should only be on diesels.

the stock muffler length, volume, & baffles/chambers usually reduce the noise decibels

Our Rams also came with Resonators that reduce the decibels even more

I have the 18" Magnaflow & the decibels are pretty low, even after 120,000 miles
If i wanted more sound, i would remove the Resonators, but that might make the exhaust sound like hell when the MDS kicks in

I straight piped mine last summer. I love it, its really loud if you get on it, but if your just easy on it. it's not too bad. but the MDS drone can get a bit much at times

Why would he need to adjust his valves? Is that something dudes who put aftermarket mufflers have to do too?
