Default Short / Stubby Antenna

Hello Everyone!

Are there any suggestions on which Short/Stubby antenna is best on a 2013 1500? I am OK with reduced reception but I do not want poor reception. Just curious as to what is recommended because I hate the factory antenna!

Thanks in advance for the help.

I am also looking into getting a stubby antenna for my 1500. I have been looking around quite a bit and it seems a lot of the guys on here recommend the short antenna from craven speed. It has been a mixed bag of reviews as far as signal quality goes. I guess it depends on your location and how far you are from the strongest broadcast signal, but it seems overall those have the best reviews. I will probably be ordering mine soon, and yes I agree they look way cooler than the stock antenna.

I went with the 13" AntennaX- Off Road. Here's a link to it on amazon.

Works great haven't noticed any signal loss. When I was doing research I heard once you go shorter than 12" your signal drops drastically.
Hope the helps

I bought the same one. I do have a little reduced reception but I normally only listen to satellite radio anyways. Love the look of the stubby versus the huge stock antenna.

Stubby antennas the way to go. Just make sure you install it tight. I've had one stolen off of my truck. I now have it installed with thread lock.

Thanks so much! I'm really leaning toward the 13 inch over the stubby. Did you consider the stubby?
Also how is it at the carwash?

It was the very first mod I did which was almost a year and a half ago. The car was doesn't seem to bother it I've brought it through the drive through one a few times and nothing happened. I usually hand wash though. Just make sure when clearing the snow you don't get caught up on it but that's dodges failure, it seems to be right in the path for clearing the windshield. Yea I looked into the little 3" ones as well but because I listen primarily to FM radio so I was concerned of loosing to much reception. This one seems to work great for me.
Hope this helps.

Great info and thanks for the link. This will be much better looking on my 95 Ram 1500. The stock one is a little bent up from car washes.

I ordered an AntennaX off of Amazon last week. I never listen to AM/FM radio, but I didn't want to be screwed in case I were to start listening to it. I went based on recommendation of the guy from post #3.
