Default Question on 2000 "Off Road" Package

I just got my truck a few weeks ago and was trying to figure out if the front shocks were different on the "Off Road" package as it says there is a 2" lift over stock. Are the shocks 2" longer or did they adjust the shock mounts?
Thanks Much!!

Neither. The coil springs provide the lift for that package. It is unconfirmed, but the springs are comparable to 2500 Gas coil springs. Factory shocks though are Bilstein HD.

Don't ask me how I know.

Are you in Dixon, CA? Congrats on the truck and welcome to the site.

Thanks, so would I just get std length shocks for the ram 1500? Seems like the ones for a 2" lift would be more suitable? Dixon, IL boyhood home town of Ronald Reagan.

Yeah that would be suitable. I went with Bilstein 5100s as can be seen in my old for sale ad. The shocks are sold, but you can see the part number to search and check out. I ran them for 2 years before adding more lift and got another set of Bilsteins.

That is correct for a stock 4x4 truck.

His "stock" lift is already +2 above stock 4x4 lift. It's appropriate to compensate for that.
