Default 2012 Parking Sensor Park Sense Factory add on

All,

I couldnt order my 2012 Ram 2500 Mega Cab Laramie with the Park Sense, but I did get the Park Assist Camera.

I really like the Park Sense, but it was not an option. I do not like the MOPAR Park Sense add on kit with the huge sensors and it doesnt talk to the EVIC.

I have done some research, and have come up with the following:

To add the Park Sense, I'd need the following:

1. Either swap for a bumper with the factory holes or drill holes into the standard chrome factory bumper.

2. Add the 4 sensors (2 outer and 2 inner) with the sensor bezels
3. Add the sensor "bumper" wiring harness (ties all 4 sensors into one harness
4. Add the sensor module
5. Flash the EVIC?

I am trying to figure out if the "underbed" wiring harness has the connector for connection of the sensor bumper harness to the underbed harness.

On the from the factory Park Sense, the connection is on the passenger side by the spare tire. (I will try to get pictures tommorrow)

Anyone try to do this yet? Or does anyone know if the "underbed" harness already has the connection for the bumper sensor harness if you DONT get the factory Park Sense? Im hoping this is like adding a Factory Brake Controller. The wiring is there, just add the "extra" parts.

I have the part #'s for the pieces and a friend who works at the local dealership, so I can get some inside info.

Also, where can I buy the 2012 Factory Service Manuals? They are not listed on Tech Authority yet.

Thanks!

Emmado

If your looking for wiring diagrams, i don't believe that they have them yet for the 2012, but they do for the 2009
You can check this site, it will be under Technical Information
it is an inactive site, it is a body builders website
