Default Paint Chipped or Rust Spot? How to fix this?

Hey guys,

So today while showing a buddy of mine the Ram...I opened the tail gate and noticed a small paint chip / rust spot...nothing too noticeable, but enough to bother me.

Should I call the dealer to check this out or what's the best route to take to fix this?

Here are the pictures:

I'd at least check with them first to see if the warranty will cover it. If not, get you some 220 grit paper, a small rattle can of primer and touch up paint, and go to town on it.

They will most likely tell you that is chipped....If you are anal about the truck but do not want to pay a body shop to fix it ....go to a Auto body supply store and get a small can of 2k EPOXY PRIMER ...might cost ya 50 bucks or so but that will stop the rust from coming back better than rattle can primer...follow the directions to mix it use a small artist brush to lay it on and let it cure....This stuff is meant to be sprayed with a gun but you can do small touch ups with a brush no problem...then touch it up with some base and clear
