2. From what you said, your scan has already suggested a cat problem. May be choked off. Also, the truck is running hot. If coolant system is good, it may be due to a sensor issue, MAP or O2 sensors causing over-rich condition, or a bad plenum gasket causing a lean-run condition. Either could cause damage (melting) to the cat, restricting flow. It could be any of this, it's probably all of it to some degree.
