Well you guys were right - got word late Friday that the TIPM was fried. They repaired multiple shorts but still no joy. Only option was to replace the TIPM and completely reprogram the truck. Cost - $2500. Fortunately the sales manager is a friend and with the available rebates, low interests rates, and some goodwill from the dealership forgiving the repair bill, I was able to trade my '11 Ram 1500 for a brand new '14 - loaded to the gills. While I certainly had no intention of buying a new truck, this made the best of a bad situation.

The black/red wheels were done custom for my previous truck and I wanted to keep them and so we swapped straight up with the wheels on the new one. Gonna ad some red HEMI stripes to the new one, like the ones that I had just had done on the red ram.

Thanks Seppie 10. Actually it was within 24 hours. I got the call about the bad news on the repair at about 2pm Friday and by noon Saturday, I owned the new 2014. A real rush of emotions to be sure...
