x2. the computer controls all of it..
they know how much amp load each item should have...when you add something to it...the load changes..and the bcm sees it as a problem.
same thing for adding on a factory feature your truck did not come with.
the computer has to be prompted before the new feature will work.
you have to tell the truck you now have the item...
Its no longer just plug and play..its plug and play..

Yeah,...that makes sense. I'm just surprised that a 9-LED panel would overcurrent that circuit using the cargo lamp switch.... but not overcurrent it using the illuminated entry/key-fob.
I guess I'll have to use a relay and power it from a relay if I want to simply connect them to the wires leading to the cargo/3rd brake fixture.
