Question Opti-Coat Pro

Got my 2014 RAM 4x4 on 12-31. I read up a little on the Opti-Coat and will have Opti-Coat Pro professionally installed in February (Kind of expensive though). The guy was booked 6 weeks out, so I am hoping that is a good sign. Just wondering if anyone has had this installed and how you like it? The reviews on line are pretty good and I plan on keeping my truck for a long time. (Hell, it took me years to talk my wife into it!! Lol)

Great idea, I've applied it to my personal car and many customers/friends cars. Detailers often charge $200+ just as an up-charge to apply it, on top of the other costs. Regardless, it is permanent paint protection that is harder than your factory clear coat.

With Opticoat, if you have a power washer you can remove about 99% of the debris from your paint before even touching it, which greatly helps with minimizing marring.

What detailer are you using?

agreed...opti coat pro is a great product and i use it religiously. the consumer product (opti coat 2.0) is also a great product, and very user friendly.

just make sure you adopt a proper wash technique and the opti coat will last a lifetime. remember it is harder than your factory clear, but it will still scratch and swirl...most people think it is actually armour plating!

your installer looks reputable, but you can always check with optimum to make sure he is an authorized installer and using OC Pro.
