Default Vacum Leak under dash

Ok, I have a vacuum leak I would say because I hear a door opening and/or closing when I get on/off of the throttle. I also can feel my heat come out of the vents and then not come out when I step on the gas.
So how do I go about finding where my vacuum leak is without having to take my truck to a garage and get charged big bucks?

Any suggestions?

Hi Syndo. What you have is NOT an issue. When you hit the "fun" pedal, the engine vacuum drops, and the vents revert to their "at-rest" position (defrost) due to insufficient vacuum. The system is designed this way so that in the event of vacuum failure, the air will still blow on defrost, keeping the windshield clear. This is a safety feature.
