hi my name is john im new here kinda new to forum seen also, well not new just no expert. i am new to dodge but not with cars. i had a few accidents that made it a lot more harder to deal with bigger machines like cars and definitely trucks so for the past few years ive been building bikes. i was looking for a work truck and something to carry my bike cause with my 6' bed i couldn't close gate with any kind of lumber and when i carried the bike i had to have it positioned corner to corner. was looking for an 8' 4 banger really but i came across this dodge at a sweet price , well not sweet at first but the truck had a few probs so i new i could get for a sweet price. its a 2002 dodge 1500 4.7 manual trans. all manual i should say lol. bald tires leaking oil and power steering fluid, check engine light bed in pretty ruff shape. exhaust you can hear flapping like it need manifold and donut gaskets. that leads me here
check engine came up on computer as o2 sensor something low voltage forgot witch bank. makes perfect sense cause i know the exhaust is leaking. bought an entire new performance exhaust. has 1 o2 before the cat and 1 after the cat exactly like the current cat on my truck. now im at the local parts store to pick up the o2's. he tells me that i need 4 o2's and turns into argument cause my truck only has 2 o2's and the new exhaust only has 2 o2's. i have him call dodge give them my vin.
Dodge now tells me it has 3 i high lighted red cause now we are all confused we had dodge fax it to us. now i end up under my truck digging to find this missing o2. im trying to find a wire at least that goes to this missing o2. i have 1 before and after the cat. is there 1 in manifold in the photo? we couldn't figure the correct position based on the photo they faxed but 12 looks like its in the manifold.
upon my digging i found a ball of tape @@ i hate HATE cut wires. could this go to my missing o2? if not does someone know what they do go to?
