I have the 14" mufflex with the drone elimination kit they sell. With the full tail pipe on I had no drone to speak of. It wasn't loud enough for me though so I pulled off the tail pipe and I put a 90 degree bend after the muffler. I didn't want a straight turn down as that would direct the exhaust onto the axle. I think it sounds great now and I only have drone at low speeds with MDS; I just leave the gear selection in 8 until I hit the highway and never have any unpleasantness.

I wanted no drone whatsoever at any speed... I tried doing my exhaust exit before rear tire which did eliminate drone but was loud (perspectively)... after about a year I tried a turn down before axle which pretty much eliminated drone as well but was quite loud (which can be a good thing depending on your age )....after a year of that I chose to do my turn down after axle and not only did it eliminate drone totally (at all rpms), but it quieted down quite a bit incab that I didn't think about putting the reso back on...
