Default 1986 W-150 Exhaust help

Hey guys i am wanting to run true dual exhaust from manifolds back. No cat. Wondering what I should do to make it sound the best? Cherry Bombs, flow master, no muffler at all etc? any thoughts and opinions welcome trying to hit it on the nail the first time and not buy stuff then dislike it. New to the forum and will appreciate any replies

No way to answer that to your satisfaction. For example, I have a '93 Magnum 5.9. It was my dad's. The exhaust fell off behind the cat when he had it and he never replaced it. It is one of the best sounding setups I've ever heard just running thru the cat. I mean perfect, but that's me. I had a '69 Charger with modded 318 too many years ago. It had headers and true duals with twin "turbo" mufflers. It sounded great when new, but once the mufflers were blown out after a couple years of hard running, THAT sounded perfect, and nothing at all like the Magnum I mentioned. You're just gonna have to flesh it out. Keep in mind that the stock exhaust manifolds will tend to produce lower tailpipe volume than the same setup blowing thru aftermarket headers.
