By the way, thank you very much fastNugly. As they say, a picture speaks a thousand words. The pic helped out a lot!

The shop I used did a great job installing the bolt on exhaust, but is a general auto service shop who also does exhausts. I will probably look for a shop that specializes in exhaust systems to do the Y-pipe install.
The Y pipe is definitely not a drop it. It does require cutting of the old and welding in the new. Some additional piping (small) may be required...
But an exhaust shop will surely know what to do.

I'd take your laptop to the shop on install day, so they can see the feedback here from Andrew (FastnUgly) and see the photos he provided. It should cut out any communication errors.

Cheers,

Var

By the way, the exhaust looks and sounds awesome. Will get the Y-pipe installed in the next week. Thanks for all of your input! Will try to post some pictures after it is all done. Need to get the truck washed first too with all of the salt and snow here in Michigan.

I just had my 18" Magnaflow installed today that I got from Bully's, sounds great!!!! I also got the Y pipe but I was in a hurry to get to work and the muffler shop tech was struggling with how to put it in. Needless to say I just had them put on the muffler and I'll go to another shop for the Y pipe.... For now it will live in the floor of my backseat.

Went to a custom exhaust and speed shop today to have the Y-pipe installed. The owner builds drag cars and said if I put the Y-pipe in, I will have HP gains, but will lose low end torque. In addition, he said it would cost around $300 to replace the crossover pipe and install the Y-pipe. Am currently on hold on this mod.

I'm keeping mine as well and in time someone will need one and buy it.

Found the exhaust system on bonanza.com for $535.. Autoanything.com matched the pricing.
