I was asking the same question on another forum. So far I have been told to cut 1/4 from the front (bottom of spring) and 1/2 from the back (top of spring).
It will be interesting to see what replies you get here if they differ. I'm installing the same kit.

With the Belltech 2/4 drop, people cut 1/2 a coil on the bottom of the front spring and a full coil on the top of the back to make a 3/5 drop.

theres no way 1/4 coil is gonna get a full 1",
typically its 3/4 - 1 coil for an inch..

this is a good question tho ..
I just installed the McG 2/4 'economy' kit and, on my light RC/SB V6,
only got 3" (if that) in the rear..

so I'm a gonna be trimming some coils !

One coil off the stock front springs equaled a 3" drop on my RCSB.
Ended up buying a new spring.
I made the mistake of listening to internet guru's,won't do that again,as a new spring is 170 bucks
I'd start with the reconmended 1/4 coil, you can always cut more if needed, but you can't add it back

Just an FYI guys,if you go much lower then 2" on a spring lowering in the front, you'll have a hard time getting the wheel alignment into spec,with-out going to the adjustable A-arms.
If you want lower then 2" on the front, you're better off doing the drop front spindle swap + a spring swap, that combo is wheel align-able.

Buell - you have an regular cab RC right ?

JETsimple reports for his '14 R/T :

"I removed exactly 1 coil from the top of the rear springs and got maybe 1/2" lower. I was hoping for a little more but it's OK for now."

{ thread at http://ramforumz.com/showthread.php?t=172691 }

But he was originally posting because he only got 3" of drop to begin with...

If you have a loaded CC/QC with rambox etc ,
you will get "more drop per coil" ...

Hornet is right:
my comment quoted above is misleading and should've clarified that was for a progressive coil as installed in the *rear* of our rams..

for the much shorter, stiffer, non-progressive fronts I would start with cutting 1/4 coil if I was aiming for 1" drop,

but they *are* a b*tch to swap in & out too ..
