Default Rim Size

I have read hundreds of posts regarding tire sizes but not seen the answer to my question. 2010 4x4 1500 5.7 17 inch steel/ chrome wheels. What is the Rim width? I measured as best I could with a tire still installed and I come up real close to 8 is that correct?

Before I spend a whole bunch of money ordering the tires I want to make sure they will mount up right.

TIA!!

I believe they are 17X7. My outdoorsman came with 17's and that is the rim size on the sticker on my door. and I believe they are +25 offset if you need to know that. Check the sticker on your drive side door it should be on there

Yep it was there, 17 x 8

Thank you, I knew tire sizes were there but never even thought about the rim sizes being there.

Stock is a 265/70 and I am only going to a 285/70 so I should not need any spacers or offsets I don't think. I just needed to make sure the rim was wide enough to accept a 285.

You should be perfectly fine. Typically don't need spacers or offset rims until you hit 35/12.50 territory.

No problem, from what I've found on this site 285 is the widest you can go with factory wheels and offset. It may rub a hair at full crank but you should be fine.

Thanks Very much Guys

Dropping this much money on new sneakers is nerve wracking when you have to order them up front and you are not certain they will fit.
