I suggest that you reference the RockAuto website
insert your vehicles information as prompted
scroll down to IGNITION & Spark Plug

you will see 2 numbers for most OEM spark plugs
one # is the stocking number that parts places use
the other number is the number that is found on the box that holds the spark plug

ie:
CHAMPION Part # 570 {#442, RE14MCC4} Copper Plus (Rebate/Promotion Available!) One of our most popular parts
Gap .044; OE Plug

NGK Part # 5306 {#LZTR4A11} V-Power

etc.

Default spark plugs on 5.7L Hemi?

Hi, newbie here just learning to navigate the site and learning my new toy, an '04 1500 Quad cab hemi. I have a reman Jasper with 24K and 570 copper plugs, so are most people staying with the copper and changing all 16 of them at 30K? No advantage to a Platnum? Not my first mopar, but first hemi! Have a wonderfully MOPAR day!

I changed my Plugs the first time at 42,000 miles
the Electrodes corners were still squared, not rounded. They still had good color

The second time i drove 50,000+ miles
the Electrodes were starting to round off & they still had good color

I now have 110,600 miles it my '09 HEMI

I bought mine through RockAuto, best price anywhere & quick delivery

I do plugs, tranny and radiator fluid every 20k. Crazy? Maybe but that has proven to be a good combo for me and all my past vehicles.

Yes, stock are Champion copper plugs and the recommended interval is 30K miles.

It is pretty well documented that the older Hemis in particular like the OEM Champion plugs better than anything else. Changing them isn't that difficult and they are dirt cheap. I would stick with those.

Man, GTyankee is this forums hero when it comes to the 4th genners in my book. Nearly 111,000 miles and running on his Ram truck. Very impressive bud for all the long trips you make with your truck. You make me proud to be a Ram owner man! Back to spark plug subject, yes, Champion or NGK are best in my book.

Very, considering premix should be good for 5-6 as long as nothing contaminates it. You are more than welcome to flush your money down the toilet though.
