I've dealt with dealerships in Duncan and Nanaimo. Like I said, I doubt you'll have any problems. It must be a minority that have these failed uConnect modules but if you want to see how many people that still is, there are lots of threads about the uConnect issues on this forum and the "other" ram forums. (I'd post a link to those but I'm not allowed to).

That's a good idea to test it at the dealer, but of course, most people's problems started slowly in the weeks and months after purchase. I didn't consider testing the voice commands at the lot before I drove off. Nor did I think it would be so difficult to get warranty work if things didn't work. That's why I bought a new truck and not a used one.

@SShadow - What steps have you taken so far to get your radio problem dealt with?

I haven't done anything but upgrade to the latest version. I just assumed that it is what it is.

My VIN doesn't show up when I check for uconnect updates, so I called them. She asked for my address, all good, she just couldn't help me with my problem. Very polite, she seemed honest in trying to solve my issue.

Anybody ever try using a US vin when downloading the updAte?

Can you use your phone data plan instead of the built in Sprint?

yes, i used another vin, most probably a US vin, i think from a dealership site for a brand new truck. I just got version 14...

So after 2 emails to their support team, they fixed my VIN, it is not longer invalid.
I can now see the updates as I am supposed to. There is somebody else on the other side and they are listening, it seems...
