Default What can you do about the bumpers

I have a white big horn, im really not a fan of the chrome bumpers and chrome strip down the side. Has anyone out there painted them to color match like the sport, or maybe tried a line-X liner on them. I would assume the chrome strip is just doubled sided adhesive than can be removed. Any input or pics? Thanks!

Or maybe i should fight chrome with chrome. Maybe chrome bull bar and other accessories might make it look better

Ditch the chrome! You can get color matched paint and paint the bumpers, but that can get expensive. Or, you can do the black and white scheme and plasti-dip the bumpers black, along with the chrome strip. The chrome strip is like the emblems, just double sided tape.

I'd say plastidip them or try to find someone that wants chrome ones and do a swap.

Seconded, Plastidip. Just need a warmish day to do it and a few hours. Cheapest route and can easily be undone if you're not satisfied, unlike other methods. Can probably pick up what you need from your local Home Depot or Lowes.

I happen to be a big fan of the chrome. I noticed a lot of people love it but a lot of people hate it. I would try to trade with someone.

Take my advice...don't bother trying to paint chrome. It looks nice for a minute till you drive down the road and it starts to chip off. No matter how much prep and sanding you do unless you remove the chrome completely nothing will stick to it. Im not a huge chrome fan either but if it was me I would take the chrome stripes off the side and leave the bumpers. Then add the chrome bull bar to set it off. Chrome actually looks really sharp on white.
