I would recommend the LC2I audio controller, when I was adding a sub to my 2010 Jeep I used this product and works awesome, it adds adjustment as well as remote sensing to turn amp on and off. http://www.audiocontrol.com/17612/64...r-Control.html

The CANbus signal is already converted to speaker level where you made your connector. I am assuming this because the factory alpine amp is up stream from your connection, that is why i was questioning the speaker signal to RCA connection. An easy way to do this is speaker level input on the amp, which is not a very good way to hook an amp up although it would work. The next best thing is to get the LC2i in which I mentioned above and tie the speaker leads into that and it will convert the signal to RCAs and then plug into the amp, plus there are additional adjustments as well as a remote turn on wire, where as cheap line level convertors dont have the adjustments or the amp remote turn on wire.. Just food for thought, good luck!!! I still want to do the backup camera mod you are doing.
Jeff

I meant the CANbus signal for the amp turn on.

Question Re: subwoofer adapter?

Ironchef or to others, does any one know what's the part number and where to buy the stock sub woofer connector? The stock woofer sucks big time! And so does the rest of the speakers. ...definately will be upgrading the speaker systems.

Thanks

I just upgraded my factory radio with a touchscreen nav unit that is a factory-fit from www.radio-upgrade.com. The factory harness plugs right in, and the steering wheel controls work fine.

I want to add a sub to the back. Is the JL Audio Stealthbox worth the $600?

just go into any dodge/chrysler dealership.. they will be able to order on in for you. also it will come with the pins for the connector and shrink tubing

i bought a JL Audio 12" sub for my home theater in my basement. The damn thing is so powerful I have to turn it down so I don't rattle the drywall off my 2x4's -- two stories above the basement. impressed with the brand.

I have the same JL stealthbox also with a JL HD900/5. The sub works great. The amp was $1k and the sub was $600. Not cheap but i am doing a full system so its what i wanted.
